Valentine Day today but in Taiwan, I could not feel the mood. No couple hugging, kissing and stuff like that. No roses or flowers, not much couples in fact. However, today is no valentine day for 3 of us as we busying doing our admin stuff in taiwan. First time in my life that my world is revolve around chinese characters. Actually it look nicer than english words but I can't write and I read too slowly! Haha... I will take chinese course in taiwan to improve my chinese (hopefully can minor in chinese when i get back!! haha, juz joking). My student volunteer is very good as she brings us around and help us in every possible ways. I have heard that taiwanese people are friendly and now I have truly experience it! I believe I should not have any difficulties blending into their culture ba....
I must say that standard of living is almost the same in Singapore. So I cannot spend as freely as I would love to cause got so much good GOOD food in taiwan. O, and I bought a dry box in the afternoon cause the weather here is humid and cold so no choice have to buy to protect my lens and cameras. I will sell them off when I'm coming back cause i cannot bring it back! I also saw a lot of photo mag and books! So tempting to buy but must wait till I have more money first and they are in chinese so I think I take a long time to read finish them. They got 1 whole street which all the shops sell cameras! I think I will go there very often (thinking of buying monopod, flash, umbrella, reflector, wireless transmitters, a few filters, another lens.... but only think cause NO $$$). But really worry my cameras will have fungus cause of the weather.
